My Approach to Tutoring
I love teaching. I got into working with children because of my desire to spread knowledge to the next generation. To me, tutoring is an opportunity to look deeper into subject matter than classroom time often allows, and to grow a greater understanding of the subject being taught. This comes not only through repetition and the development of new study skills, but through engaging with the subject and finding a way to make it exciting and more understandable for students. I do this by keeping students working towards achievable goals. Working together regularly works best, and I try to establish a routine that sets the pace for my students.
I normally work with elementary and middle school-aged students, and I specialize in developing reading and writing skills. My other areas of expertise fall mostly in history, social studies, and the sciences. If you are interested in learning more about me and have any questions, please don't hesitate to be in touch!
