Math Tutoring Services and Tutors

Math Tutoring

From elementary school math to college math, our expert math tutors help make math concrete and grounded in real life applications.

When studying math what students need more than anything is someone to explain complex concepts in simple terms. Even the idea of multiplying can be challenging to young learners. Our math tutors have a proven track record of tending to each student’s individual needs and showing him or her new, simpler ways of looking at math problems.

My administrator created and appointed me to that position to have me implement AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination college preparatory program) strategies to our community of learners. For the past several years, I was the AVID Site Coordinator and Elective Teacher. As a result of me maintaining current student/teacher artifacts and providing up-to-date data, Morrison was able to become an AVID certified school.  I have also prepared and facilitated professional development at Morrison for the past five years to ensure that my colleagues were thoroughly prepared to implement current best practices.  As a teacher I have also hosted several student teachers from Temple University and the Urban Seminar. All A's... a big improvement!

I was very pleased with Tutor Delphia and with Gina's tutoring. She worked with my daughter very well and was extremely proactive in engaging her teachers. Sarah has achieved all A's in her classes this semester- a big improvement!

Gina is a real gem!

-Victoria R.

Improved [SAT] score by 200 points

After taking the SAT for the first time and not pleased with the results, our Senior Daughter had six sessions with Adam. Prior to Tutor Delphia, she had participated in group SAT tutorials. The one-to-one format benefited her. Adam met with her in her comfort zone (our dining room;-) and worked on her specific areas of need. Her college of choice stressed to her that she could be considered for an academic scholarship if additional SAT scores show improvement. Well, she improved her combined score by 200 points. She was accepted and offered the scholarship. If we had known about Tutor Delphia before her senior year, we would have gotten an earlier start on SAT readiness that is tailored specifically to the skills our daughter needed to yield success.

-Karen D.

Up to a solid "A"

Tutor Delphia helped our son move his grade up to a solid "A". He is much more comfortable with the concepts and techniques for solving problems. Adam's easy way and patient approach has helped to remove the anxiety that sometimes caused him to under perform in test situations.

-Joseph L.

Very patient and resourceful

Tutor Delphia has been a wonderful asset for my son in getting through 8th grade this year. I wish I had found Adam sooner to work with my son as he has been very patient and resourceful in drawing my child in to learning different and exciting ways to be engaged in math. Thank you Adam for helping my son reconnect to math again.

-Monika J.

Dedicated and reliable, patient and encouraging

I have used TutorDelphia for my two teenagers for high school math and SAT prep. Adam is dedicated and reliable, patient and encouraging, and really goes the extra mile. I am pleased with their progress and plan to continue with him.

-Barbara M.

We...will refer Tutor Delphia without hesitation

Hey Adam. We wish we would have found you sooner. Our son only had a couple of sessions with James and they really connected. He definitely felt more confident and did see an improved score. We will be in touch for any future test prep and will refer Tutor Delphia without hesitation.
